Hello,

I am working on a project where I am using couple of CC2530 as well as CC3200. So there is both wifi and zigbee radio waves at  the same place. Both work on 2.4 GHz frequencies. So there is a chance of interference. I have read somewhere about reserving a channel for the zigbee radio waves so that there is no interference. 

Any suggestions for how to go about it ?

    The WiFi has collision avoidance mechanism that is used to avoid interference. There are already multiple products operating in the same band without any coexistence issues. The air interface takes care of that. However simultaneous transmission in the same channel would cause issue and would ask for re-transmission. WiFi protocol would automatically perform a re-transmission in case of a missed packet. So this is already taken care.

    Hi

           what does  "collision avoidance mechanism"  mean ?? 

           is  that only design for  the CC3200  software stack ???

         

          i  don't  think it is work ,   i have test set a CC2530 near by the WIFI AP,  it was really bad and the Msg resend serious！！！

    Hi Yikai Sir,

    I am facing an issue of data loss when I run my Zigbee network in the vicinity of Wi-Fi network  I have read on various internet portal that many people and Zigbee product facing the same issue,

    Is there any solution , that I can implement to avoid such interference or is there any way by which I can minimize that affect because what I have done is I have Checked the LOS range of my two nodes Coordinator and router in open field where there is no wi-fi and it comes out to be 90 metres, 

    Later i came to my office and check the range it is reduced to 10 times, may be because we have almost 8 to10 wi-fi connection in 20 by 20 room ??

    I just want to know is there any solution or suggestion you can provide me to overcome this Issue??

    If yes please provide me with some reference or  some solution so that I can try it out ,
