I want to know which emulator is required to code the cc3200 mcu chip.

also,is it possible to use MSP 5438 board to code cc3200 mcu by replacing the concerned microcomtroller.i want to know the board will support the cc3200 mcu ??

Hi Manish,

The CC3200 uses an external serial flash as its non-volatile memory. You will program the flash using a UART connection to the CC3200. Take a look at the CC3200 Production Line Guide for a complete set of options for programming the device.

You will not be able to use the MSP-EXP430F5438 to program a CC3200 if that is what you are asking.

Hi,

... it sounds me that he is asking to debug possibility of CC3200.

For you development you can buy www.ti.com/.../cc3200-launchxl. This development board includes debugger from FTDI. This integrated debugger you can also connect to CC3200/CC3200MOD at your final board. If you buy CC3200 LaunchPad then you have all what you need for your development with CC3200. CCS IDE is with CC3200 free for use.

Yes. If the question is concerning debug of CC3200, I recommend using the LaunchPad and following Jan's recommendation above.

actually I am a beginner and i want to use cc3200 mcu wireless chip for my iot project and i want to code it in my way and for that i want to know the cheapest hardware requirements available for that.

Hi,

Best (recommended) and cheapest way how to start with CC3200 is to buy www.ti.com/.../cc3200-launchxl. How to start with Code Composer Studio (CCS) IDE you find here www.youtube.com/watch

By the way, why you not use ESP8622? For home and simple project is cheapest way.
