CC3100BOOST: XCC3100HZ

By using TM4C123G launchpad and CC3100BOOST,  SimpleWebServerWiFi sample code was running successfully using Energia.  

Once I format the serial flash using CCS UniFlash (using CC3100EMUBOOST+CC3100BOOST) and uploading new service Pack CC31xx_CC32xx_ServicePack_1.0.0.10.0, SimpleWebServerWiFi  sample code is not working. This code is stuck with UART console printing  "Attempting to connect to Network named: <SSID_NAME>" 

When I check file system using CCS UniFlash it is showing only one file i.e. /sys/service*.ucf

Can you please help me how to fix this problem so that I can run the sample code SimpleWebServerWiFi  on energia.

    Hi Manoj,

    Please be sure you are following the steps for formatting and flashing to service pack to the CC3100: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC31xx_&_CC32xx_UniFlash_Quick_Start_Guide

    We also recommend you use the most recent service pack. Our latest version is v1.0.1.6-2.7.0.0: www.ti.com/.../cc3100sdk. If you do not have any user files (certificates, hosted webpages, etc.), you should only have a the service pack in the file system.

    Check that your SSID name and password are correctly set in your code, and that the rebuilt program is loaded onto your host TM4C.

    Latest supported ServicePack by pre-production silicon XCC3100HZ is 1.0.0.10.0 and SDK 1.10.

    My suggestion is to move from pre-production silicon to production devices.

    Thanks for the response. 

    I have followed steps mentioned in the link you have suggested.

    I tried with service pack v1.0.1.6-2.7.0.0 and service pack v1.0.0.10.0 but with both service pack I am not able to run the SimpleWebServerWiFi  sample code which was working fine before Formating and flashing new service pack. I am new to this working with CC3100 so would like to know if I am really missing here. 

    Do I also need to upload any user files (certificates, hosted webpages, etc.) in order to run the SimpleWebServerWiFi  sample code. If yes, then from where I can get the steps to upload the user files. I need help here as we need to show demo to a customer and all of a sudden our demo stop working and we are stuck.

    Hi Manoj,

    As Jan pointed out, you are using pre-production silicon which is very old and has not been supported by software for many revisions. I'm not certain of Energia functionality with pre-production silicon and old service packs.

    SimpleWebServerWiFi is an Energia project and not written by TI, so I am unfamiliar with the steps beyond what is provided by Energia online. For support specific to software, you should post in their forum: forum.43oh.com/.../
