cc3100: 802.11 b/g/n modes selection in AP mode

Hi, I am configuring my cc3100 as an Access Point mode. By default it supports all the three modes like 802.11 b/g/n? or Do we need to manually set it some where in our software? Can we change it?

Hello Durga,

In AP mode, the cc3100 supports 802.11bg.

Can I configure 802.11b or 802.11g manual? Is there any api available to set or change the modes?

Hi Durga,

No. Mode is not selectable by user. Mode is automatically selected by NWP. Why you need select mode?

Hi Durga,

OK. There is no official way how set manually AP mode into b or g mode. I am not sure, if there is no unofficial way...

- If you need WiFi alliance certification you can transfer this certification - see www.ti.com/.../swra458
- For radio certification/measurement is mainly used radio tools - processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC3100_&_CC3200_Radio_Tool

what is the worst case, highest output power in b/g or n?

And can this be set for testing?

Hi Durga,

I am not able to answer your question. WLAN Transmitter Characteristics you find at datasheet and chapter 4.8 ( www.ti.com/.../getliterature.tsp ). Maybe some TI employee will be able answer this question.

Parameters of WLAN are more complex. For radio certification use radio tool. Sets of tests depends on legal/certification remeasurement. According legal remeasurement you will set radio tools and do necessary radio tests.
