CC3200: AWS SDK IoT Plugin download issue

Part Number: CC3200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3220S, CC3220SF

Hello all,

I tried to download the CC3200 AWS SDK IoT Plugin from this link:

But I didn't find any windows executable file to install AWS SDK IoT  Plugin on my machine, as specified here in this link:

From where should I download the plugin? I even tried to clone the CC3200 AWS SDK from 'gitorious' but it doesn't have the kernel folder and it also giving me error about 'gmake' utility.

Thanks,

Techinspired

  • Did you try the download icon (shown below)?  I know it is not the most intuitive and looking at changing it. It's a zip. We recommend you unzip into c:\ti

Another option is to open Resource Explorer in CCS (7.x only) and download from there. In this case, it gets installed automatically.

  • Hi ToddMullanix ,

    Thanks for responding!

Yes, I've downloaded it by hitting the download icon over there . The plugin has downloaded on my machine as a zipped folder, but it does not have any executable in it.

    1. Is it necessary to run the executable to install that  AWS SDK on my machine...am I correct? or it gets automatically installed if you download it,same as in case of CCS 7 version. I am currently using CCS 6.1 version.
    2. Do I need to install the AWS IoT SDK from 'Gitorious' even after installing the SimpleLink CC32XX SDK AWS IoT Plugin?
    3. And will this plugin is applicable to CC3200 device ? as I didn't find CC3200 folder in it, it has only CC3220s AND CC3220sf  folders in it.

    Best Regards,

  • I'm closing this thread. It's a duplication of e2e.ti.com/.../592202 which we will answer.
