Does the driver / hardware support acting as an AP? I would like to try to do some ad-hoc communications. Is there documentation on how to do this anywhere?
Edit: Of course, as soon as I post the question I think the found the answer. In the WL1271 CLI manual it specifies how to set it into Ad-Hoc mode.
Access Point functionality is not supported. However, as you said, you can do ad-hoc mode.

In reply to CB:
why does the product description site still state
Robust Wi-Fi core
when Soft AP is clearly not supported?
In reply to DooMMasteR:
Are you saying that the WL1271 driver does not support master mode? If so, is there any plans in the future to add that functionality?
In reply to David Saar:
The master mode (Soft AP, and WiFi direct) will be supported as part of the MAC802.11 on the AM37x platform, that is planned to be on the middle of 2011

What about the question.
The product indicates "Soft AP" is supported. How can it not be supported and supported?
