Someone was asking about the new RED certifications for the WL1831MOD in this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/wilink_wifi_bluetooth/f/307/t/567307 and they indicated the testing would be done April-May.

I had a few follow-up questions:

Is the timeline for the WL1827MOD also going to happen in the April-May timeline?

How are you handling non-harmonized standards?

Are you using a Notified Body?

Hi Adam,

Yes our plan is too also have WL1837MOD updated to RE-D in the same time frame. The WL1837MOD is a bit more intense as some of the adaptivity rules have change d for 5GHz, but the plan remains the same. We will be using a NB to ensure that we handle the non-harmonized standards.

Do you have any update for the release of the test reports? Can you confirm which standards will be used?

Will it be the ones listed below for the RED?

Hello,

What is the status of re-certification of Wl18xx modules per RED directive?

Starting June 13, 2017, compliance with the RED Directive is required, and we are planning to go into certification with WL1835 modules.

We will post the latest reports for RE-D here. Note the main RF reports are complete. EMC is also complete and will be posted in a few days.

Our current schedule with the test lab is telling us all testing should be complete by the end of next week.

Hello,

I can find document 8535.10 - DoC_WL18MODGI.pdf under this forum post, but that is DoC for WL18x7 chips. I need DoC for WL1835 chip.
I am not sure why you share these documents over forum, why there are not uploaded on official TI page
