Hi,

I am observing beacon loss detection on one my test board working with Linux. Please let me know hint on below points.

1) What is the reason of beacon loss

2) Is it possible to get this state by using wpa_cli

Please find below driver log.

wlcore: Beacon loss detected. roles:0x1

wlcore: Connection loss work (role_id: 0).

wlan0: Connection to AP 1c:a5:32:85:a6:20 lost

hi ,
Access Points send periodic beacons ( default is 1 every 100 msec ) . If station misses multiple beacons it will disconnect from AP.
Try to connect to different Access Point and check if you see the same issue

Is their any disconnect event getting trigger from WPA_Supplicant when beacon loss detected.

I am observing only SCAN event but no disconnection event from supplicant.

hi ,

wpa supplicant will try to re-connect to the configured network - that's why you see scan requests .

Hi,

Wpa_Supplicant never give DISCONNECT Event. It was keep on SCANNING I have waited for at least 1 Hour for same but DUT never got connected.

Is that issue of Router or issue of software running on DUT ?

In any case Wpa_Supplicant will give DISCONNECT event. ?

CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED is raised and supplicant state changes from COMPLETED to DISCONNECTED after beacon loss / de-authentication . At this stage , it will scan for the configured network/s in configuration file in order to connect to available network . It could be a router issue - try using a different router.
