  • Need to get more info here.

What is the actual effect on current connection? Any redovery seen?

    What versions are you using?
Can you please provide firmware logs using (using gLogger)?
Can you please post full kernel log?

    BR,
    Eyal
  • I am using TAG 8.6SP1.

I think this problem is coming in following case.

    1. DUT publishing AP & working good.

    2. Now DUT trying to connect with Home WiFi Router (Station Mode). (Coming in Dual Mode)

3.During Connection Or after connection if Beacon loss happen & due to same some recovery happen at driver end causing AP disappear.

Please find attached Log from driver. Please give me some hint.

  • Hi,

There is nothing obviously wrong in this log. The only thing I am not sure about is those avahi-daemon messages seen in your log.
Are you seeing such issues if you stop the mdns daemon (avahi) and repeat same tests?

When you say that the AP disappear, what does it actually mean? Do you stop seeing beacons from it using an air sniffer?
Is hostapd still running, or did it stop?

Can you please attach also the air sniffer capture showing the issues?

    BR,
    Eyal
  • AP Disappear : On Client (Mobile/Laptop) i don't see AP in scan list.

    Hostapd is running fine.

I will try to capture wireshark & update you.I would see below line of failure from driver.

Mar 6 07:16:43 BB_BBG000073 user.warn kernel: [ 1217.637968] wlcore: WARNING trying to record key replacement
Mar 6 07:16:43 BB_BBG000073 user.err kernel: [ 1217.638035] wlcore: ERROR Could not add or replace key
    Mar 6 07:16:43 BB_BBG000073 user.err kernel: [ 1217.643773] wlan1: failed to set key (1, ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff) to hardware (-22)

Could you please give me hint.

  • Hi,

    Any update on issue??
  • One suspicion we have is the following message:

Regulatory domain changed to country: GB
Maybe the AP worked on different country code and we didn’t scan the channel….

    Best Regards,
    Eyal
  • DUT is set in auto scan channel mod. Do you think still it is possible that scan will not happen?
  • Not sure I follow. If the AP is on a channel that is not part of the GB reg domain, it will not be found in the scan.

    BR,
    Eyal
  • Hi,

If I restart hostapd or reboot DUT then I can see AP in scan list. Do you see still, region may create this issue

I think error message from wlcore driver  will give some hint.(Please see initial communication message for details error log from driver.)

    Thanks
