Hi,

I am using AM335x starter kit to build an application for peer to peer communication b/w iOS device and an the Sitara device, but the problem is I can't find any mention of WLAN chip on AM335x- TRM. So, is it possible to establish communication b/w the two devices ? If yes how ?

Hi,

In case you have picked an am335x board that doesn't have a wl18xx module on it, I don't see how you can use wlan.
Why don't you pick a board that has wifi, such as the am335x-evm with a wilink8 com8 module, or the begleboneblack wireless that has a wl183x module on board?

Hi Eyal,

I have checked, AM335x starter kit has WL1271 TIWI-BLE. So somehow it can be configured.

Wl1271 (and the wl12xx family) is really a deprecated chip. Not recommended for any new design.
Latest Processor SDK should still support this board. So in case you are using it you should have a wlan0 interface shown when you boot their image and try:
ifconfig -a
