WL1837MOD: channel access mechanisms and maximum channel occupancy times - WL1273

Part Number: WL1837MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1837

This is the same as my other support case for WL1837 but in this case for WL1273:

In the new RED ETSI EN 301 893 standard (5 GHz radio) there are options in the adaptivity section for the manufacturer to declare compliance to the required channel access mechanisms and maximum channel occupancy times, more specifically clauses 5.4.9.3.2.4.2 and 5.4.9.3.2.5.2, instead of performing exhaustive measurements.

At this time it is unclear whether any proof for stating compliance to the above points is needed. As a start we would like to know if your radio chip WL1273 complies to:

  • The maximum channel occupancy time stated in clause 4.2.7.3.2.4; between 2-6 ms with or without options to increase up to 20 ms.
  • The channel access mechanism for ‘initiating devices’ described in clause 4.2.7.3.2.6, also described as a flowchart in Annex F.
  • The channel access mechanism for ‘responding devices’ described in clause 4.2.7.3.2.7.
