Linux/WILINK-BT_WIFI-WIRELESS_TOOLS: Could any guy here help me interpret wl12xx firmware log: fwlog

Part Number: WILINK-BT_WIFI-WIRELESS_TOOLS

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

We have a problem in wl1271 on Linux. Sometimes its firmware will crash. And I have gotten the firmware log: /sys/devices/platform/sdhci-esdhc-imx.1/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2:0001/mmc2:0001:2/wl12xx/fwlog.

Could some guys kindly help me to parse this log fwlog1.tar.gz?

My wl1271 driver info is as following:

wl12xx: driver version: ol_R5.SP7.01
wl12xx: compilation time: Wed Mar 22 17:58:55 2017
wl12xx: Beacon threshold set to 12
wl12xx: BSS timeout set to 400
add wake up source irq 107
wl12xx: loaded
wl12xx: state: 0
wl12xx: firmware booted (Rev 6.3.10.0.141)

If you need more information about my issue, tell me.

Thanks and Best regards,

Vito Kang

  • Our WiFi expert will get back shortly.

    Thanks
  • Hi , We do not support WL12xx anymore . It is discontinued version of WiLink family. We suggest you use WiLink8

There are too many "ERROR exceeded max RX BA sessions" (printed every several seconds or several minutes).
But what I am concerned with is "wl12xx: ERROR watchdog interrupt received! starting recovery."(appeared occasionally).

I have no idea to know what happened. Have traced several days. found there is a fwlog that maybe tell me why.

So, looking forward to our WiFi expert. :)
  • Thanks Saurabh, but this is already a commercial production. We found this bug in field. If you could interpret the fwlog file for me, I would really appreciate that.

  • Hi, Saurabh,

The wl12xx firmware crash is so hard to capture, my only hope is in fwlog. Could you help me to parse it?

    Thanks,

    Vito
