WL1837MOD: request schematic review

Part Number: WL1837MOD

Hi,

One of my customer is willing to use TI's WL1837MOD for their network application.

They ask to TI if there's any problem on their schematic.

Please help us.

thanks,

  • Hi TS,

I will check internally and see if our hardware expert can look into it but we may need the full schematics for it.
Are they following our level shifting document as well?:

  • Hi Eyal,

    thanks for your help.

    below is the full schematic.

And I look throuth the level shifting guide line, and I think there's no issue on the customer's sch.

    thanks,

    TS

  • Hi TS,

My apologies for the late reply. Please note the following for the schematic:

    1) The e2e is a public forum, and thus you schematic will not remain confidential

    2) For the VBAT (pins 47 and 48) we recommend adding decoupling capacitors close to the part (10uF and 0.1uF)

    3) The BT HCI interface is a 4-wire interface. You will need to route HCI_RTS and HCI_CTS to the host

    4) it looks like your host is operating with IOs at 1.8V, so no Level shifter will be required. Please confirm this. If the potentials are not at the same supply, then you will require a level shifter.

    5) the WL_IRQ pull up resistor should be DNP for production. For debug however the value of this resistor should be 10K not 4.7k.

    6) critical for proper operation is the start-up and shut-down sequence. Ensure this is met (page 21 of the datasheet section 5.21)

    Thanks,

    Riz
