Hi ,

I use 1837 on AM5728, wifi connection error occurred.

Actually i am using

Sdk : ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-03.00.00.04

chip: AM5728

Board : custom board

Hardware : WL1837

Software : linux-4.4.12

Error message:

I tried SDK3.3 and SDK4.2, the result is the same.

Hi all,

I carefully compared the EVM circuit.

VBAT pin found some differences.

The following is the EVM circuit.

The following is the my board circuit.

EVM use 3.6v voltage, and jumper connector on the 1837 side, why should this design?

My board uses 3.3v, which is the same voltage as the 3.3v used on the TXS0108.

This will affect the use of WIFI it?

Hi,

From your log it iseems like you are not using the latest firmware and issues like that can happen with this firmware
FW ver: Rev 8.9.0.0.48

Please update your firmware to the latest:
git.ti.com/.../R8.7_SP3

It would be FW: 8.9.0.0.76

Hi Eyal,

The same error occurred with my new firmware.

I think this and driver, firmware version has little to do.

Because I used to use the old version can be successful, but the connection is not stable.

1837 Successful power-on, but do not know why the communication between 5728 and 1837 has been a problem.

SDIO signal waveform when there is communication, the signal is stable at high or low after an error.

Hi Louis,

ELP wake up issues have been addressed since FW 8.9.0.0.48 so you do need to continue using the latest one.
How often are you seeing this crash? Is it hapenning all the time or after a few hours of traffic?

Can you proved the kernel log showing the error with the new firmware? (FW: 8.9.0.0.76)

Hi Eyal,

This problem is solved, the AUD_OUT_BT signal is pulled high by the hardware at power-up, causing 1837 to be in an unknown mode.

I want to know 5728EVM and 1837 when used with the delay effect and stability of how? (Ssh or telnet login after the success of the situation)
