Linux/WL1831MOD: Slow reconect on Cisco Aironet Access Point

Part Number: WL1831MOD

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

we are using Wlink8 wifi in two different environments (different boards and different Android BSP).

In both the environments wilink8 is connected to an Access Point Cisco Aironet with a session timeout of 120 minutes.

Every now and then our system disconnects from the wifi for more than 60 seconds, and then reconnect. We understood that the problem concerns the research of the SSID Network and renegotiation of session key, but we can't understand why sometimes it if pretty fast, sometimes not.

Other devices with different wifi chip disconnect and reconnect very fast very time that session key is invalidate. Does someone else have this issue ? It is something similar the one reported here:

   .

but in our case the use of REATTACH command does not help.

The two environment are based on Android 5.1/ Linux kernel 3-14 (the first one) ;  Android 7/ Linux kernel 4.9 (the second one).

Both use:

 wlcore: driver version: R8.7_SP1
wlcore: PHY firmware version: Rev 8.2.0.0.232
 wlcore: firmware booted (Rev 8.9.0.0.48)

Thanks for the help
Bye
Giuseppe
