WL1837MOD: Cleaning after Reflow?

Hello,

We have a customer asking, can this device be washed after their reflow process?

I found a thread asking a similar question, however, this device has hole(s) on the side/edge of the package.

Customer would be using generic water bath.

Could someone please advise when they have a chance?

Gabe,

You should notice the module lid (can) has some vent holes and thus water can pentrate the lid. Bake should be done after the wash to drive out any mositure. Contimants could enter the lid as well, one option would be to seal the vents before cleaning. Another option would be for them to use a no-clean solder paste, but they need to evaluate what works best for them
