WL1837MOD: China Power Requirement

Part Number: WL1837MOD

One of our customer's products with the WL1837MOD module is targeted to be sold in China. China seems to have a 50mW lower power requirement than Chile’s 150mW. Do you know if this module has ever been tested/sold into china at the 100mw Power requirement?

  • David,
As per link processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xxMOD_Regulatory_Product_Certification , WiLink8 is certified for FCC, IC, CE and MIC. Linux wireless regulatory database defines regulatory values for each country ( including the ones that don't accept above certifications ). Customers can get their end product certified in external test house for countries that don't accept these certs. I have assigned this thread to our RF expert who can comment further on how customers in China get their product with WiLink8 certified.

    Thanks
    Saurabh
  • Hi David,

There should be no issue in obtaining China Certification as it follows the CE standard (EN300328 v1.7.1 I believe). This will require you to do the certification testing on your own however as we are not certified for China.

    Thanks,
    Riz
