  • Hi,

Seems like you have some pin muxig conflict between the serial port and the I2C bus?

See the following from your log:
    [ 1.573673] omap_i2c 44e0b000.i2c: bus 0 rev0.11 at 400 kHz
    [ 1.579501] pinctrl-single 44e10800.pinmux: pin PIN94 already requested by 48022000.serial; cannot claim for 48c
    [ 1.590587] pinctrl-single 44e10800.pinmux: pin-94 (4819c000.i2c) status -22
    [ 1.597703] pinctrl-single 44e10800.pinmux: could not request pin 94 (PIN94) from group pinmux_i2c2_pins on dee
[ 1.609538] omap_i2c 4819c000.i2c: Error applying setting, reverse things back
    [ 1.616849] omap_i2c: probe of 4819c000.i2c failed with error -22

I suggest checking your .dts file and make sure you have used correct addresses for pin muxing.

    BR,
    Eyal
  • Hi,

  • What is your HW platform and linux kernel/SDK? I suggest trying it out on AM335x EVM with COM8 board and TI SDK release.,
Generally, kernel crash means it NOT related to Blutopia stack as such (Bluetopia stack is completely use space resident, access only BT_EN/GPIO through sysfs and UART with tty character device interface) .. As, noted earlier you may be having other pin mux/ or other driver adaptation (GPIO, UART etc) issues..

    Thanks
  • I am using am3358 custom board (refer beanglebone black) and SDK ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-04.03.00.05

here is the dts file. I was removed i2c2 pin with uart1 pin conflict in am335x-bone-common.dtsi file.  Could you check it and let me know are there any problem

    am335x-boneblack.dts

    am335x-boneblack.dts.doc

    am335x-bone-common.dtsi

    am335x-bone-common.dtsi.doc

  • Since, it is a custom board you need to make sure the pin muxing and DTS file is accurate..

I suggest, you try with the attached standalone tty/UART application to check basic connectivity with the BT controller.. The usage is simple:

    #  hci-test <dev-name> <baud rate> <bt_en_gpio>

    Thanks2654.hci-test

  • Hi,

After rebuild uboot, linux image and check dts file. My device can working now.
    Thank for your support.
