WL1837MOD: FCC/CE Certification questions and 5G DFS certification inquire

Hi Team,

My customer now is using WL1837MOD which required for FCC/CE/DFS related certification, and they have some feedback which need your kindly support:

1. TI public certification files for WL1837MOD are released on 2014 V1.8 version, refer to R&TTE; customer found that the R&TTE has been abolished at June of 2016, and required to fulfill RED command after June of 2017. Could you provide the latest certification files which fulfill RED features?

2. As WIFI 5G will covered DFS channels(52/56/60/64/100/104/108/112/116/120/124/128/132/136/140), which customer side would to turn off this channels, could you kindly help to provide solutions for how to turn off these DFS channels?

3. If the WL1837MOD has done the DFS certification, could you kindly help to provide related certification documents?

Hi eyal， I am the HW engineer of Huawei, about the FCC&CE centification of WL1837MOD, could you please share us the test tool which you provide for the Certificate Authority. I believe that when do the centification you must have the graphical tool for Certificate Authority to do the RF test.

Hi Benjamin,

The test tool we use for the certification can be done In 2 ways.

1) You can sue calibrator via Linux that will use the SDIO buss to sent commands to the wilink device. If you use this approach you can refer to the following: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_TX_Testing

2) the other method that was done for our testing is using RTTT. This is a gui based interface that puts the chip in test mode and uses RS232 as the interface. you can find information on this at: Here is the RTTT setup guide: www.ti.com/.../swau085e.pdf

we have a big problem when to do the BT test based with WL1837MOD on latest version andriod the basic test command are not supported. Both BluetopiaPM and Blue are not support；please help to provide the BT protocol stack can support by latest android version
