Hi Cathy,

I received the following response from our quality department. These appear to be genuine devices.

We are aware that blacktopping may be a counterfeit indicator, and TI does remark parts to reflect conformance to internal specifications/data sheets.  TI  eliminated this process from our production flow in 2019. The delivery number on in the shipping documentation is traceable to a shipment of TI material (LM56CIMX/NOPB) from the TI store.

I'm sorry, you seem to have misunderstood. The site these were produced at did re-mark devices for performance grading up until 2019. We believe the devices to be genuine.

Yes, these devices were remarked by TI. Not all devices from TI could be remarked, and we have stopped remarking. These are old inventory.
