TLV320AIC3101EVM-K: Programmable Filters Questions

Part Number: TLV320AIC3101EVM-K

Hello,

About the "Programmable Filters" questions,we follow the spec guidelines 1) first enter the values for N0, N1, and D1 at the HP Filter. Click Download Coefficients, 3) enable left ADC When we did step 2), we noticed that the noise was getting smaller (not sure if the high pass filter was working), but strangely, we finished step 3).

When we did step 2), we noticed that the noise was getting smaller (not sure if the high pass filter was working), but strangely, we finished step 3). Please help, thank you。

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

Can you enable/set the HP filter option as shown? I see it's disabled.

    Regards,

    Peter

  • Hi Peter,

Yes, the Left ADC HP filter is disable, but it could set N0,N1 and D1 value. Does the left ADC HP filter need enable? If enable, which equation should be selected? or if we select fc=0.0045*ADC fs, how to configure N0, N1 and D1 value?

    Best regards

  • Hi Kailyn,

Basically just to confirm that the ADC HPF is enabled per the datasheet highlighted here.

But from your initial statement, it looks like when you download the coefficients the noise is smaller maybe the GUI has taken the enabling into account so you might not need to enable again.

The selection is for the different cutoff frequencies as stated there.

    Regards,

    Peter
