TPS92622-Q1: DIAGEN pin operation

Part Number: TPS92622-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello expert,

My customer would like to know when the DIAGEN is already pulled high and the fault occurs, should we toggle the DIAGEN when system remove the fault event? Or we can keep it high since the SUPPLY is not disappear?

And does open detect is only valid when PWM is high and DIAGEN is high? Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Ann Lien

  • Hi Ann,

I will direct you to Table 6-1 and Table 6-2 in the TPS92622-Q1 datasheet. These tables detail the TPS92622-Q1 fault handling with the DIAGEN pin high and with the DIAGEN pin low, respectively.

As you can see, there is an "auto-recovery" feature that does not require the DIAGEN pin to be toggled after a fault condition is resolved.

    Regards,

    Zach
