First steps with PCM3070 and PurePath Studio

While PurePath Studio controls mostly the DSP functionality of the PCM3070, you might need to do some EVM configuration, or PLL configuration in the Control Software (PCM3070K CS) that is available for download on the product page.

It is right that with every new konfiguration in Purepath studio I have to route the outputs in PCM3070K-CS again?

I want to work with the Parametric EQ. Can I make changes online and for the design, have I only to set an Input/DSPA-DSPD/EQ/Output?

Hi Dominic,

The best way to set these settings is in PPS is the SystemSettingsCode. You can access this by selecting the framework then in the properties window, this lets you configure I2C instructions that will run when you generate/run the code. This is a way to replace all the functionality of the control software, but is not a nice GUI interface like the control software.

I worked a little bit with the PCM3070-K CS Software. I have test the miniDSP Apps.
When I opened the Equalizer the Software asked for progroamming device for this application. When I do this, I have to route the In an Outputs again and there is now sound change. It does only work whit active Analog Bypass.

Did you have an example with using active equalizer?

Hi, Dominic,

Please take a look at at the attached process flow. It is an example of an active equalizer. Also, it routes the IN1 input to the HP/line output.

Hi Luis,

I use your example, but there is no change from equalizer and no output over line. I have to route this manually with PCM3070 - Program.

Do I have a problem with the Eval Board?
