Schematic Review for Non- Isolated DC-DC converter

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62080, TPS63020

Dear Sir/ Madam

We are working on Agriculture based Project in which we are using below Ti Part no.

Charge Controller : BQ24650

Fuel Gauge : BQ28z610

Power Regulator : TPS63020 ; TLV62080 ; TLV713

We have completed Layout Design File. Please find the attached Gerber file and Schematic File.

Kindly Review it for TPS63020 ; TLV62080 ; TLV713 and help to provide your inputs on the same.

Awaiting for your kind response.

Thanks and regards

  • Please read the guidelines post at the top of this forum and then edit your title to begin with the part numbers. As well, you will need to post in the battery chargers and linear regulators forums to get reviews of those devices.

I recommend a 53k resistor for R37 as shown in figure 26 in the D/S.

On the TLV62080 layout, C32 and C33 need to be placed closest to the IC and have their GNDs connect directly to the thermal pad.

The yellow on the TPS63020 layout is impossible to read clearly. Make sure that the input and output caps have several GND vias to make a good connection to the GND plane.
  • Dear Chris

Thanks for valuable input, I will also follow the required guidelines while posting my queries in E2E forum. based on my discussion with customer , We have checked your valuable inputs and implement in schematic and layout design.

For TPS63020, As we checked datasheet , Value of VFB = 500mV. So, We have used R27 : 1.91M and R37 : 300K and R28 , C34 will be used for transient response.

If we changed the value of R37 from 300K to 53K then value of  R27 : 300K will be used. Does our understanding correct?

For your reference, Please find the attached image.

    kindly help to advice here.

  • Yes, this is correct.
