Hi Team,

We just get a request for power solution from customer Renewable Energy division as below, do you know if TI can provide some proper solution?

Input: 200~800V DC
Output: 24V, 180W
Isolated power supply

It is an isolated power supply, customer try to use LM5035C to design a half bridge SMPS, switching frequency can be 50kHz or 100kHz.

Would it be able to fulfill the requirements? Or, you have other better suggestions, many thanks!

For your customer's request, half bridge SMPS is the best solution.

Hi Bell,

I agree with Yunsheng that half-bridge may be the best choice for such input and power level, and LM5035C can do good job here but if you don’t want the integrated start-up regulator and gate driver because their voltage ratings are not sufficient, UCC28251 would be the other option.

Hi Bell,

There is no EVM or reference design for UCC28251, you can refer to the EVM and reference design of UCC28250, the previous generation of UCC28251. Below is link to the EVMs and reference design for UCC28250: www.ti.com.cn/.../toolssoftware
