Customer is desiging schematics using SN74AXC8T245-Q1 and SN74LXC8T245-Q1.
As of now each ports direction is fixed and won't happen in/out direction switch.

Also, there are some unused port at each devices.
Currently they are conneting unused intput and output to GND directly.

I think connecting input to GND is mandatory requirement.
Then, is there any risk from connecting output to GND?
I worry that there may be shoot through risk during power-on disable to enable transition etc...

I suppose that floting may cause unstable voltage at Hi-z condition.
So I'd like to suggest them to keep connecting unused output to GND.
However, if there is risk, I'll suggest them to change output from conneting it to GND to floating.

We are looking for a low cost power supply IC which should cost nearly 1$ -1.2$. Our requirement is

Input Voltage - 10V - 30V dc (Variable input), Output Voltage- 12V , 0.1A Dc (Fixed)

This requirement is for inductive proximity senor application. The yearly required quantity will be 50000Pcs and it will increase as our sales will grow.

Please provide the power supply ics which will be suitable for our application. Also please share the reference designs for our 12v fixed output application. I have tried TI webench power designer but i am getting designs which has transformer which isolates the output and quite confusing for us. Let us know if TI can support on this or else we have to look for other vendors like STM, microchip.

TIDA-010961: Reference software

Part Number: TIDA-010961

Dear teams,

There is no concern to use VLS3015CX-100M-H for this socket.

BTW, please use power management forum for DC/DC converters, otherwise we can't see the E2E timely.

We currently use the TPS61097A-33DBVR boost converter in our products. So far, we have been using the DO3314-103MLC inductor from Coilcraft. We noticed in your datasheet for the TPS61097 that other inductors are listed. One of these is the NLC565050T from TDK, which unfortunately is now discontinued and no longer manufactured.

Therefore, we are considering using the VLS3015CX-100M-H, also from TDK, as a replacement. According to the datasheets, the electrical characteristics appear to match.

Our question is: can the VLS3015CX-100M-H inductor reliably replace the Coilcraft DO3314-103MLC in our design with the TPS61097A-33DBVR, or are there considerations (e.g., mounting, saturation current, DC resistance, ripple current, layout, thermal behavior) that we may have overlooked?

We would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations you might have regarding inductor substitution in this application.

Thank you very much for your assistance.
