Join the TI University Program team at five free hands-on workshops for educators during the American Society for Engineering Education’s (ASEE) 122nd Annual Conference, June 14-17 in Seattle.  It is a learning opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Register today to join the sessions led by experienced university instructors and TI engineers. Not only will you walk away with new techniques to integrate into your courses and labs, each participant at our TI workshops will take home free TI tools used in the workshops.

Below is an overview of the TI workshops available at ASEE. Whether you are teaching EE, CompE, ME, BioE or General Engineering courses or just looking for ways to integrate new projects into your innovation and Maker-space labs, we can help! You can find the full listing and times of TI workshops here.

MSP430 IoT workshop from ASEE 2014

We look forward to seeing you at ASEE 2015!

Robotics Projects and Teaching using the Texas Instruments MSP432 Microcontroller (MCU) LaunchPad

  • Get the ease of Arduino style programming with the low power and performance of the new MSP432 LaunchPad evaluation kit. In this workshop, Energia will help you introduce simple servo control and wireless communication in the classroom and lab.
  • Each participant will take home the new MSP432 LaunchPad along with the CC110L RF BoosterPack from Anaren.

Getting started with Internet of Things (IoT) projects using the TI SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® CC3200 LaunchPad

  • With easy to use Energia software and the CC3200 LaunchPad (SimpleLink Wi-Fi wireless MCU), you will have a way to introduce even freshman students to the excitement of ECE and integrating wireless connectivity with IoT examples.
  • Each workshop participant will leave with a better understanding of the IoT usage/development and a SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 LaunchPad.

Power Management Education Made Easy: Introduction to the Power Management Lab Kit PRO (PMLK PRO) and WEBENCH® design tools

  • Learn how to integrate the Power Management Lab Kit Pro (PMLK PRO) and TI’s WEBENCH® online design tools into your courses so students can gain practical experience in designing, analyzing and simulating power supplies.
  • Come learn about TI’s power management lab tools and you will have the opportunity win one of the limited samples of PMLK PRO.

Bringing Internet of Things to a Microcontroller Class Using Texas Instruments MCU & Wi-Fi

  • Modernize your educational curriculum for embedded systems with ease.  This session will provide a variety of new examples and the integration of Wi-Fi communication into your MCU courses.
  • Each participant will take home the TM4C123GXL LaunchPad evaluation kit together with a TI SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3100 BoosterPack along with teaching materials to get started.

Teach, Learn and Connect with BeagleBone Black and SimpleLink SensorTag in your hand

  • Get up and running in 15 minutes, and leave with the ability to integrate the TI Sitara™-based BeagleBone Black into courses, projects and on-campus ‘innovation labs’ comparing and complementing your Pi, Arduino and LaunchPads. BeagleBone Black is the easiest way to get started using and learning Linux.
  • Each participant will leave with a BeagleBone Black and the new SimpleLink SensorTag which allows you to develop with Bluetooth® Smart, 6LoWPAN or ZigBee® wireless connectivity with 10 low-power sensors.

Register today for your chance to walk away from ASEE with new teaching techniques and free tools.
