Last year at Mobile World Congress, our OMAPTM 4 platform stole the hearts of techies around the world. Today, we're thrilled to say that the ground-breaking platform is not only sampling, but is being showcased at Mobile World Congress (TI Booth 8A84, Hall 8). Together with a handful of innovative partners, our team is demoing some of the futuristic capabilities the OMAP 4 platform-based mobile devices will soon bring to consumers, like one-of-a-kind 3D user interfaces, contextual browsing and multiple display support.
Building on this "crystal ball" approach, our team also today unveiled the first of many OMAP 4 platform-based development tools - the BlazeTM mobile development platform (MDP). Pairing the foundational OMAP 4 platform with other TI technologies, this revolutionary MDP provides developers with the instruments they need to turn their ideas into realities. Out-of-the-box features include:
- Dual 3.7" WVGA capacitive touch displays
- HDMI output for third screen display support
- DLP® PicoTM projector
- Three multi-megapixel cameras
- Full sensor suite
- Broad audio support including multiple digital microphones, stereo speakers and audio outputs
- Quad-radio, single-chip WiLink(TM) 7.0 solution
Our team feels almost like a bunch of proud parents with all of these achievements. We couldn't be more proud of the advancements that the OMAP 4 family is making in the industry, and we're eager for the many more milestones to come. In the meantime, come check out the OMAP 4 platform and Blaze MDP in action at TI's Mobile World Congress booth from Feb. 15 - 18.
