A year ago, our bundle of joy, the SensorTag, was created to help mobile app developers, hobbyists and makers around the world develop their very own Bluetooth® Smart apps for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Since then, SensorTag has grown up to be a popular kit in the TI community. To celebrate SensorTag’s first birthday and all of the accomplishments from the past year, a few of its TI tool buddies threw SensorTag a birthday party.
The guest list included SensorTag’s closest friends from TI including SimpleLink CC2538EMK for ZigBee, Tiva™ C Series LaunchPad development kit, SimpleLink™ CC3000 BoosterPack for Wi-Fi, Sitara™ AM335x starter kit, SimpleLink CC256xEM for Bluetooth dual mode, LDC1000EVM evaluation module for TI’s new inductance-to-digital converter and MSP430™ LaunchPad development kit.
Guests were given party hats and sang “Happy Birthday” as SensorTag blew out its number 1-shaped candle. SensorTag made a wish to be used to develop even more unique Bluetooth Smart apps in the years to come and help spark creative ways to use TI’s SimpleLink CC2541 Bluetooth low energy wireless MCU and TMP006 infrared temperature sensor.
