Subramaniyan,

How are you measuring or estimating the resistance of the resistors on the boards?  Measuring with a multimeter on board is not reliable.

Our production BOM in house has all of the resistors values and regulator as indicated in the BOM and schematics provided by TI.  See my notes embedded in your questions below.

If you are having trouble using the board and possibly with the TI Software, I suggest you push for response from Texas Instruments.  Unless the deserializer or serializer board have hardware faults/damage, TI should be able to support you with the application.  The Multides deserializer and serializer hardware and software are designed and supported by TI.

We do not have any documentation for the Omnivision camera module.  You will have to contact Omnivision for that or possibly your TI representative has it.

Regards,

Danny Corey

Subject: RE: Board Details Required - reg

Hi,

I have checked the schematics and BOM documents to analyze the signals coming to the serializer from deserializer. While checking schematics in comparison with the board, I have some findings which conflict the schematics:

Serializer (913):

  1. U3 mentioned in schematics as LP3996SD but the board has 5BOXYL228B, schematics shows pin connection for 11 pins but the chip has only 10 pins.[DC]  That is the correct part as per the BOM.  5BOXYL228B is marked on the package of the LP3996SD.
  2. R16 in schematics has value of 4.75K but the board has resistor with value 3.6K[DC]  BOM shows 4.75K is used.
  3. R13 in schematics has value of 10K but the board has resistor with value 5.5K[DC]  BOM shows 10K is used.

Deserializer (914):

  1. R45 & R48 in schematics has value of 0 & 3K respectively but the board doesn’t have any resistors at the specified location[DC]  correct.  R45 and R48 are not populated.
  2. R3 in schematics has value of 15K but the board has resistor with value 5K[DC]  BOM shows 15K is used.
  3. R7 in schematics has value of 13K but the board has resistor with value 5.3K[DC]  BOM Shows 13K is used.
  4. R10 in schematics has value of 4.99K but the board has resistor with value 3.8K[DC]  BOM shows 4.99K is used.
  5. R11 in schematics has value of 11K but the board has resistor with value 5.5K[DC]  BOM shows 11K is used.

Kindly provide us answers for the following

  1. Are there any other exact schematics for serializer and deserializer?
  2. If this is the exact one, please provide some insights why these value are different
  3. Schematics for the camera OV10635, which is not available in the already shared link

Note:

10% tolerance is considered in the measurement of resistor values.

Subramaniyan,

TI provides all hardware/software documentation and support for the TDA2x and multides platform.  You can see hardware information on the TI website at: https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00162.

Subject: Board Details Required - reg

Hi,

We have procured the following boards:

http://www.spectrumdigital.com/tda2x-vision-evaluation-module-kit/

http://www.spectrumdigital.com/multides-surround-view-kit/

We are facing some issues while connecting the cameras to the board. We are able to connect the Deserializer from the TDA2x board but couldn’t access the Serializer and OV10635 Camera. It will be of great help, if we can get the Datasheet, Specification and Schematics of the following components:

  1. OV10635 Camera
  2. Serializer
  3. Deserializer

Note:

Concern is also raised in TI forum
