I have put together some information for you to kindly send to your TI expert for his feedback (below). Please note, the test is NOT done using TI’s EVM board but a test board developed by Eroad (see below UUT). Please note that U1 is disabled with J1 thoughtout the whole of these test results.

Your help is very much appreciated and it would be good to understand if or what is the problem? If you need any further information please don’t hessiate to ask?

Many thanks!

+5V PSU used to power UUT (J2)

Tek Isolated scope connected to 5V PSU with series 0.22R current sense resistor. PSU then connects to UUT (J2)

UUT with Picoscope connected (c/w Lithium polymer battery connected)

Scope trace with battery charging @227mA

CHA (x1 probe) = BAT+                  CHB (x1 probe) = BAT+ (AC Coupled)

Scope trace with battery charging @227mA, Q1 gate shows no interaction with DPPM

CHA (x1 probe) = Q1 Gate                            CHB (x1 probe) = BAT+ (AC Coupled)

Scope trace indicates 5V PSU current into UUT

Kind Regards,
