Hey,

I have taken over a project based on a ZED example which I am trying to connect to Zigbee2MQTT. After successful pairing, Z2M says: "(...) with Zigbee model 'undefined' and manufacturer name 'undefined'(...)".

So, where in the project do I set Zigbee model and manufacturer name? If this is documented somewhere a nudge in the right direction will be sufficient :-)

Hey Fredrik,

It appears that this message is coming from receive.js or controller.js, perhaps you can follow instructions for adding new device support? I assume this has to do with the ZCL_CLUSTER_ID_GENERAL_BASIC attribute records ATTRID_BASIC_MANUFACTURER_NAME and ATTRID_BASIC_MODEL_IDENTIFIER which can be modified in the zcl_*_data.c file. Koen Kanters can provide more information or you can create an issue.

Hey Ryan,

This came up while going through Koen´s "adding new device" instructions :-)

The only zcl_*_data.c file in my project is zcl_cert_data.c which does not look to be the right place.

I see some attributes of ZCL_CLUSTER_ID_GENERAL_BASIC is set in zcl_config.c inside the sysconfig folder. I guess I am not supposed to edit this file manually?

Hi Fredrik,

Since you are using SampleApp you should navigate to SysConfig -> Z-Stack -> Zigbee Application Endpoint -> Mandatory Clusters -> Optional Attributes and select ManufacturerName and ModelIdentifier. This will create WEAK uint8 sampleApp_Basic_ManufacturerName & sampleApp_Basic_ModelIdentifier definitions inside zcl_config.c which can be re-defined inside sampleapp.c, please refer to the Customizing Application Builder Functionality section of the Z-Stack User's Guide.
