Hi, TI support team

My client is considering producing an EVB using the TPS6594-Q1 along with a new SoC.

I understand that Buck and LDO output settings are possible through I2C.

If the EVB does not have a Master, is it possible to set it up through a separate debugger or writer?

Is it possible to configure the operation using TI's USB interface adapter (USB2ANY)?

In conclusion, if there is no master in the EVB, please tell me an external connection device or method that can set the operation.

Also https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slvaf93a/slvaf93a.pdf provides additional information for NVM update and how to build NVM update sequence with any generic USB host. There has been some work to utilize USB2ANY for this purpose but this is not ready.

User-configurable version of the device is TPS65940400RWERQ1.

But there is only information about using GUI.

I want to know setting method including PC, NVM and adapter, etc.

What can I use as adapter when connecting between PC and NVM?

Hi MJ,

GUI is used to generate NVM configuration and it can be also used to upload NVM to EVM for example. And that NVM needs to be defined by you. GUI includes templates as starting point.

The adapter between PC and PMIC can be any generic USB to I2C/SPI device what you select to be used. For example USB2ANY can be used for that operation. There just has to be script or code written to upload binary to PMIC memory.
