Hi,

I am using BQ79606A-Q1 single device to read cell voltages and communicating from dspic33ck512mp608 through UART.

I want to know how CRC can be calculated and verification of CRC frame.

I have referred to bq79606 data sheet as shown in below examples from data sheet.

As highlighted in below picture Polynomial need to be used is 0xC002 but in example 0x8005 polynomial is used why?

And verifying frame CRC has wrong data during XOR operation with 0XFFFF as highlighted below. and CRC can't be verified with mentioned below method. can you clarify this as well?

Can you also inform if do we have any CRC calculator or code available to calculate the CRC for below?

Hello,

So the BQ79606 CRC calculation is the same as the BQ79616. You can find our GUI for the 616 and use the built in CRC calculator.

I am also attaching the algorithm we use to calculate the CRC:
