Part Number: ADS1217 Hello,
The ADS1217 datasheet states the operating temperature range is Ta=-45 to +85oC.
My customer would like to use this device at Tamax=95oC if possible.
How much is Tjmax at ADS1217 actually?
If heat dissipation is good…
Part Number: ADS1217 Dear Specialists,
Our customer is considering ADS1217 and has a question.
We would be grateful if you could advise.

According to the datasheet P.13 CLOCK GENERATOR, ADS1217 can use oscillator for clock source.
In this…
Part Number: ADS1217 Everything seems to be working ok,
but I dont know why the DRDYn pin is always driving this signal even after power up!!!
Below pin status: ( I am not issuing any commands to ADC )
CSn = high
SCLK = low
CLK = 8MHZ
DIN…
Part Number: ADS1217 Please if you could summaryze the steps to properly read the ADC data values (keep in mind that I can read all channels properly)
I am using
2.5V ref = Internal
buffer = disable
Gain = 1
Clk = 4MHZ
SCLK = 1MHZ
Falling…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1217 Hi
I have using an ads1217 and i can read all registers and it seems the values are default even i can write in the registers but the problem is when i send read data "01" command i just read back 7f ff ff .…
Hi Jim,
As the DSYNC is a digital input pin, it is best not to let it float as it will be in an undetermined state. This is also true for the RESET and PDWN pins as well. All three of these pins should be pulled high for normal operating conditions…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1217 Hi
I have designed a pcb to capture a differential signal by ads1217. In the first successful try I could read a voltage that was divided by two resistors series together between Avdd and Gnd.but when I connected…

I need a A to D convertor that could read +-5 V dc and transfer the data to a computer in a way that this data could be used for…
Hi Joseph,
The data is not exactly is off by a factor of two, because we have offsets and scale that we do to the input, my question is:
I have set the VREF to 1.25 and the PGA =1, what would be the full scale analog input allowed , VCC=5v, and what…
Hi Jiri,
If you apply 4kV to the supply, you will need extra protection for U20 as it is limited to 3kV isolation.
You may find that you will have better success if AGND and DGND have a low impedance connection under the ADS1217. You might consider…
