    ADS1298R: ADS1298R VCM

    Hello E2E Experts,

    Good day.

    What is the best way to create a virtual common mode (VCM) for ADS1298R inputs with selectable signals for averaging like on ADAS1000 ? There is no built-in common mode amp, can we use some RLD circuits or is there some external solutions to add this functionality?

    ADS1298R: ADS1298R Channel 1 frequency response at 32 KSPS

    Hi TI support.

    We've built a device using the ADS1298R and have been operating it at 32KSPS without issue on the digital side.

    When performing a characterization of gain across frequency we notticed that CH1 has a low-pass cutoff frequency is at 4KHz where as all the other channels are at 8KHz (as expected by the datasheet figures). Please see below for a measured bode plot. - To measure this we swept a sine wave of amplitude within the dynamic range of the system and plotted the output code of the ADS1298R. 

    On our design we only have external first order passive anti-aliasing RC filters of 10KΩ//470pF before the ADS device. (external RC cutoff is 33-34KHz)

    We suspect that this difference is due to the respiration circuitry found only in CH1 as we have used ADS1298 before without observing this issue. 

    The resp configuration register is at the default value, which we assume to be disabled. Please correct us on this if we have missed something.   

    Any input from your end that could help us understand the exact cause of this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    ADS1298R: Issue with ADS1298R Lead 3 and AVL Signal Discrepancy

    Dear TI Support Team,

    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I've encountered with the ADS1298R.

    We are using custom hardware based on the design of the development kit; the signals collected from Lead 3 and AVL do not match those generated by the simulator. (Please find attached an Excel file.)

    Could you please investigate this matter and provide guidance on how to resolve it? Additionally, if there are any known issues or potential solutions related to this problem, I would greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations you can offer.

    ADS1298R: ADS1298R Schematics Review

    Hi, 

    Kindy find the ADS129XR Design and provide your review comments. Currently this is designed for 5 leads in future it is expected to use also for 12 lead. But how to route use 12-Lead ECG as well as Respiration rate measurement in schematics?

    Respiration circuit is given as per the Figure 97. Typical Respiration Circuitry in the datasheet. But when this is used, I cannot use one channel-lead V2?

    Please provide your comments for the above

    ADS1298R: Some question about ADS1298R ,pls help to review the schmetic

    Dear Expert

    We are now designing a 12 lead ECG+RESP+anti defibrillation interference product using ADS1298R. Could you please help us check the issue with the principle design.
    Is the connection method of the 12 lead ECG correct?
    2. Is the RESP connection method correct?
    3. If the above two methods are connected correctly, does it mean that one limb lead V6 is missing?
    4. What are the good methods to handle the need for anti defibrillation in products?
    5. If ADS1298R cannot design a product with 12 lead ECG+RESP function? Please recommend a product that can perform 12 lead ECG+RESP function.

    ADS1298R: ADS1298R change MUXn will lead to errors in some channels

    Hi,

          ADS1298R is set to MUXn  = 000 Normal electrode input, continous collecting.

          I find that, if set MUXn = 001(Input shorted) and then set back to 000, occasionally, it will lead to errors in some channels.

          And, I also tried setting MUXn  = 000 again and again, it will aslso occasionally lead to erros in some channels.

          For example:

          Does it mean that, I must stop collecting before changing MUXn, and restart collecting after changing MUXn?

    ADS1298R: ADS1298R or similar for absolute and respiration impedance measurement

    Hello,

    I would like to know if a suitable chip exists to measure transthoracic impedance to achieve the next:

    - Absolute transthoracic impedance measure must be precise. +/- 2 ohm once it has been calibrated. +/-2 ohm precision must be mantained under diferent temperatures (0º-50º)

    - Resolution achieved in the transthoracic impedance measurement signal must be good enough to be able to distinguish the respiration of the patient (0,1ohm oscillations).

    I know that ADS1298R is prepared to measure respiration, but I think it is not good enough when looking for precise absolute impedance measurement. Some help finding an appropiate device, which can be good for both absolute and relative transthoracic impedance measurement?

    ADS1298R: Question on the Power supply & Oscillator

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am planning to introduce the ADS1298RIZXGT chip in my design and provide dual supply for the analog part (AVDD = +2.5 & AVSS = -2.5V) and +1.8V for the digital supply (DVDD = 1.8V).

    I want to do that because my MCU has to work with 1.8V digital logic.

    According to the Table shown in Section 7.3 of the datasheet ("Recommended Operating Conditions"), this power supply scheme is allowed.

    Indeed, in my case AVDD - AVSS = (+2.5) - (-2.5) = +5V is less than 5.25V, and AVDD – DVDD = (+2.5) - (+1.8) = +0.7V, which is inside the range (-2.1V up to 3.6V).

    Could you please confirm that this power supply scheme will properly work without facing any issues?

    Finally, since the DVDD is +1.8V, I want to introduce an oscillator that provides externally the 2.048MHz clock at 1.8V digital logic. I chose the model KC3225K2.04800C1GE00 from KYOCERA AVX.

    ADS1298R: ADS1298 - No ECG signal when electrodes are placed on human body (constant ~32678)

    I have buffer[4000] to get data sample.
    When i place electrode (10 electrode) on body, my rawdata is constant=32768, and i can't fix it. Do you have any ideal for this case?

    Actually i am working with ads1298r with respiration mode where i have tested the internal manual generated signal by MSP where i am getting same output as mentioned in used manual but whenever i am using it with a person it have different output from the graph which is mentioned in user manual
