Simon,
This is an error in the data sheet. Please see the correct description as shown in the ADS42B49 data sheet. The ADS41B49 will have this corrected in the next update of the data sheet.

Jim
Alan,
Are you interested in the performance of the ADS42B49 at low frequency inputs? Can you elaborate more on your last sentence? I am not sure if you are leaning towards a SAR device or pipeline part. You may want to post you question in the precision…
Jim,
I have made a mistake. I have ADS42B49 EVM board. I had installed ADS42xx_58C28 GUI which is not the correct one for" ADS42B49" device.
I had changed FTDI eprom to ADS4249EVM and the gui was working. I can not use that GUI as digital enable…
Hi Daaf,
Of course nothing comes for free. The buffer at the front of the ADS42B49 makes it easier to interface to other components. Also, the ADS42B49 maintains better SFDR performance across frequency (and overall) compared to the ADS4249 due to the…
Hi - I'm working with Dan on the ADS42B49 eval....we did get the TSW1200 to work properly by setting
Clock line Skew = 20.
It had been 0 in the original file. We did get a TSW1400 as well which is having some different problems - but I'll start a…
After looking at the ADS4249EVM schematics, I must say that I'm totally confused... The CDCE72010 get the 983.04 MHz. clock at VCXO IN and VCXO INB inputs. It outputs from pin #7 a signal labeled "YOP". This signal goes to the 491.52 MHz. filter and then…
Hi Mike,
You're correct, there was a mistake in the absolute max tables of the ADS58B19. Please use the ADS42B49 datasheet for the absolute max ratings for the RESET, SCLK, SDATA, and SEN pins.

Part Number: ADS4249EVM Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS4249 I am experimenting with different termination impedances on the analog inputs of the ADS4249 using the ADS42xx/58C28 EVM. Sheets 2 and 3 of the schematic (attached) shows the input circuit…
Nick,
(1) Do I need a buffer? Yes
(2) Can you recommend a buffer/driver and/or reference design? SN74AVC16T245
(3) What risk do I assume by omitting a buffer under these circumstances? Depending on clock speed, the data signal integrity may be…
