Part Number: ADS7845 Tool/software: It is a 5-wire touch screen controller chip with a 12-bit ADC, interface over SPI
For our application, we are trying to use it to read a certain 5-wire resistive touch screen. But for some reason, although we are…
Part Number: ADS7845 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS7843 Tool/software: As we mentioned above we need to know about a touch controller(Four wire capacitive display) which has similar pin mapping as ADS7845.
Part Number: ADS7845 Tool/software: Hi team,
My customer use the ADS7845 for the first time, below is the schematic:
They have two questions:
1. How to handle the PENIRQ pin? should we connect this signal to the host MCU? please help further…
Part Number: ADS7845 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS7846 Hi, we are using an ADS7845 touch screen controller in our NXP iMX8MP board. We are using Linux kernel version 5.15 with the in-tree ads7846 driver (which supports ADS7845 as well). Driver…
Part Number: ADS7845 Hi team,
Is there any example driver code for ADS7845 based on C code?
Also, do you know if TI has any tools or GUI able to write ADS7845 C driver code through ADS7845 SPI interface?
Thanks and best regards

Hi Aaron,
I have set X-max and Y-max to 4096*4096 or 1024*768.But it still does not work.
I saw the printy info " "external vREF for ADS7845 not spectified." when linux start, like below pic.
And I add below info "ti,vref-mv = <®_3p3v>;…
Part Number: ADS7845 Hi experts,
We are testing our ADS7845, but we found the datasheet mentioned: the DOUT will be 12bit all High when the panel be touched. datasheet Page 12.
But during the test in customer's board, we found the MSB 11bit is all…
Part Number: ADS7845 Touchscreen: FTAS00-10.4A-5 (5-wire)
TS Controller: ADS7845 on the TI ADS7845 Eval Kit
Input Voltage: 3.3V
VREF is N/C to allow for Differential (no jumpers on JMP1)

Hello Suhas,
1. Connect the Sense pin of the touchscreen to the Wiper pin of the ADS7845.
2. Yes, the PENIRQ pin will indicate an interrupt.
3. Vref can be 3.3V.
4. If the AUXIN pin is not used it can be connected to ground.
5. See this page…
