AFE58JD16 and other AFE in this family is designed to give input with AC coupling . And low freq noise is also higher in these parts.
However you can use AD52j90/91 with DC coupling .Please take a look at this part.

We have recently released the ADS9817 which fulfills the above requirements. It is only 8 channels though so and external multiplexor, or two ADCs may have to be used to achieve the 16-channel requirement.

The ADS8881 and ADS8900B are the most similar to the LTC device. However, they are both unipolar as you have mentioned. This E2E post tags an app note that may be referred to for bipolar to unipolar conversions . ADS8900B has very low noise.
