Part Number: BQ2000 Hi,
I have to design a charger for two NiMH cells connected in series. Charging takes place via the USB port. The questions are only the following:
1) Is the BQ2000 driver able to detect non-rechargeable alkaline batteries and…
Part Number: BQ2000 Hello, how do you do ?
This's an engineer from Vtech. We are using your BQ2000SN-B5TR charging IC with 1A charging current to charge a NiMH 7.2V 4000mAh rechargeable battery. To meet the CEC and DoE USA energy saving type approval…
Part Number: BQ2000 Dear Sir/Ms.
There are two questions I would like to ask. 1: Modify RC charging time About 9 hours (540 minutes) Reference formula MTO = R* C* 35,988 C is 0.15UF R=100K But the actual measurement became 17 hours. Can I have suggested…
Part Number: BQ2000 Regarding the application of the BQ2000, it is to fast charge a 4.8V, 1450mAh NI-MH 4-cell battery within 4 hours (targeting about 2 hours). At this time, what voltage and capacity of the power supply circuit is optimal for the front…
Part Number: BQ2000 Hi expert,
My customerf has some questions on bq2000 EVM circuit.
A. How can we choose this diode? (why 5.6V?)
B. Why needs 100uH? Is there any concern on inductor current ripple?
D. If we don't need to sense charging current…
Part Number: BQ2000 Hi Team,
According to the datasheet, BQ2000 has Built-in Battery Removal and Insertion detect function but there is no explanation on the function in the datasheet.
Could you tell me what is the trigger of the detection?
In my…
Part Number: BQ2000 Hi Sir
My customer design as attached.(we charger is 4 series NiMH battery(4.8V))
we measure Vcc = 5.5V, Vts = 1.8V(parallel 10K with R8), i think it should be meet charger condition. but we can't measure Vout. is something we…

Hi Vadym,
The EVM can only support up to that, as the external resistor configuration sets the charge regulation voltage. EVM is already populated with resistors up to 10S so can't support more by default. All you need to do is change the resistor configuration…
Part Number: BQ2000 Hi Expert,
The input voltage in my system is only 5V and need to charge 3S NiMH battery.
I found figure7 of BQ2000 datasheet have an reference circuit for 3-Cell NiCd/NiMH 1A Charger, but the minimum voltage of the schematic…
