The BQ34z100 is not suitable for non-rechargeable batteries. Only the BQ35100 and BQ2052 are suitable for non-rechargeable batteries.

It does not look like we have a gauge that will support your application.You could try scaling this one, but I do not think that you will be happy with the gauging performance.

hte bq2052 is old and NRND. Pls we have a newer bq35100 particularly suited for Li thionyl chloride and LiMnO2 batteries. If you aren't far out into your design, i would recommend using this.
