Part Number: BQ24392 From email:
“I would like to know if bq24392 is able to detect different types of SDP. For example there is SDP capable to source 600mA,and the other capable to source 900mA. If NO, then is it a way to detect it”
Can you help…
Hirotsugu, Yes, good catch in stating " it's necessary to wait the DBP timer expired, isn't it?" The flow chat shows you do have to wait for the timer to expire and have the GOOD_BAT bit set to high to initiate the detection again. Unfortunately, there…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24392 , BQ25120 , BQ24295 Customer is trying to get BC1.2 certification with BQ24392. but it is not good progress now.
Do you have the reference guide/designe of BC1.2 certification with BQ24392?
Best regards,…

We are having an issue where the in the BQ24392RSER SW_OPEN signal was high (high-Z pulled up) when the internal USB signal switch was open even though the power is stable and it is attached to a…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24392 1. When it measures the DP/DM lines for BC1.2 detection, are these detected voltage ranges proportional to VBUS or are they absolute voltages? For example, if VBUS is 5.5 V, and DP = DM = 3.3, would it still be…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24392 , BQ24392-Q1 I have two question about bq24392.
How many volts is VOH of CHG_DET?
Isn't the location of the resistance reverse to a diode of Figure5?
Hi Krunal,
If the DP/DM lines are unconnected, the resistance to ground should be at least 500K. A resistance to ground of ~200K will be enough for the BQ24392 to think there is something connected to the lines.

I'm having an issue figuring out how to properly integrate these two devices. First off, do we have any reference designs that show a system using these two devices together…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24392 Hello,
We had some questions on the BQ24392 SPST USB 2.0 High-Speed Switch With Battery Charging Detection.
It looks like this chip can tell the difference between a SDP, CDP, and DCP type USB port which is…
No, the BQ24392 charger detection device cannot replace the MAX14630 charger adapter emulator since they are different solutions.
The MAX14630 is a charger adapter emulator. This device will sit on the D+ and D- of a device and manipulate those lines…
