Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24400 Dear all.
Our customer is examining NiMH 1cell charger system of bq24400. Do you have reference circui?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24400 I am observing BQ24400 to start dropping the pulses out on MOD pin ( looks like random lendth pulse trains) as soon as BAT pin voltage is approaching 1.98-1.99V. I've expected the charger to shut down at BAT=MCV…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24400 Hello!
Is it possible to use MOSFET Transistors in the example curcuit in the datasheet of bq24400 (Q1, Q2, Q3)? Would it have any Advantages, e.g. less part Count?
Thanks
Christian
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24400 I intend to use the example circuit in the datasheet (Figure 8) of the bq24400. My question is, what should i change in the circuit to use ist with higher voltage, like 40 V. In the example circuit are 16V allowed…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24400 Hello,
I have made the circuit in the datasheet in the figure 8. I have changed the number of batteries in 2 with the resistors R6 undR7= 110k and instead of the Temperature sensor i have a divider network. With…
Set the regulation voltage at 1.7 to 1.8V per cell to insure the charger never comes out of constant current mode.
The termination detects a drop in cell voltage by reaching full capacity, which warms the cell and causes the impedance to drop. The drop…
Hello Hardy,
BQ25171-q1 does not support any balancing of cells. Balancing generally not needed for NiMH, see Kedar's post here: e2e.ti.com/.../cell-balancing-for-ni-mh-battery-in-series
The charger will only see the cells top of stack voltage. Does…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24400 , BQ24401 Our customer would like to use NiMH charger device in the below condition.
Vin:5V (They are planning to use wireless receiver bq5013B.) Battery: NiMH 3s charging current: 500mA to 700mA System load current…
Hello Soumitra,
Have you looked at either the BQ24401 or the BQ24400? These are dedicated NiMH/NiCd chargers that are possibly better suited for your application.
