Part Number: BQ24401 Hi,
I have been looking for 1~4 AA size Ni-MH charging IC. I have chosen for BQ24401 for my appliication.
Max current capacity of the battery: 2500mAh
Max voltage of the battery: 4.8V( 4 batteries connected in series)
1…
Hi Shruti,
BQ24401 is the dedicated NiMH battery charger with the termination approaches of temperature rise rate and maxim in the limited NiMH battery charger portfolios. Alternatively, there is an application note using BQ24105 or BQ24105-Q1and a…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24401 Hi,
we have quite old devices for NiMH battery chargers and without EVMs.
Is there a way to use a LiIon switching charger and to adapt for example to a 2s NiMH configuration?
About the BQ24401, we have 2V…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24401 Hello,
I use the BQ24401 (programmable NiCd/NiMH Fast-Charge Management IC) to recharge a single NiMH battery type that has a nominal voltage of 1.2 V. The VMCV value (Maximum cell voltage) is fixed (2 Volt)…
bq2002T and bq24401 doesn't have power path control.
You have to add the extra power path control circuit to directly supply to the system load and the battery will start discharge when there’s no VCC supply to the ICs or other power path control.
The bq34z100-G1 should work with the bq24401 charger. They do not communicate with one another, but the gauge should detect charge termination after the delta criteria have been met. You can still use the bq2014H device, although applications support…
Hi,
I understand that the pulse current is delivered to the battery during both Top-Off and Pulse-Trickle Maintenance Charge. But I can't find the description of which peak current will be delivered at this pulse current. Is it the same current level…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24401 i'm trying to understand in more details how to design around the bq24401.
Can i please have an explanation of the current control circuit in figure 7, page 10 of the BQ24401 datasheet?
thanks.
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24401 I have a serious problem with the BQ24401
1. low PWM frequency
From 12 identically assembled prototypes only 1 reaches the 300 kHz PWM frequency, 2 have abt 130 kHz and the rest are below 60 kHz.
The components…
