The bq24753 is NRND and replaced by bq24753A. Please change to the A version. I am curious as to what feature you need from the 753 that one of our other devices, like BQ24725A, BQ24735 or BQ24780S doesn't have?

bq2000 is not only for LI-ion battery. It is also for NiMH battery. When you swap the battery, you may make bq2000 run into other mode which has early termination. Also, you required a high charge current.
