Part Number: BQ25172 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ2002 The typical Vout-ovp is 1.7V, but how does a 1.2V NiMH battery achieve 1.7V to terminate the charge cycle? The max voltage of battery is around 1.55V, and it still charges the full charged batteries…

Hi team,
My customer asked doesn't Vout pin sink any current except Quiescent output current?
In case Vin = 5V and charge terminated, Vin sink Quiescent input current and Standby input current (IN) with charge terminated.
I gu…
Part Number: BQ25172 Hi, We would like to evaluate and consider the new release of BQ25172. However, the evaluation board information is not listed on the website. Could you tell me about BQ25172EVM release schedule? Best Regards, Yusuke
Hi Yamamoto-san
We have a new linear NiMH charger the BQ25172.
This device will support 2 cells.
But it is timer-based charge termination, not voltage or temp delta.
Part Number: BQ2002 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25172 Hi team,
My customer would like to design BQ2002 because of some reason.
The battery material is NIMH and max working voltage around 1.52V. 1cell design only.
And the question is they need…
Mike-san,
The customer use 2S NiMH battery. BQ25172 was candidate, however BQ25172 do not have -ΔV or PVD to terminate the charging and the customer did not accept it, so I did not have choice to introduce BQ2002 series. Is voltage measurements of BQ2002C…
Part Number: BQ2002 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25172 Hello,
Do we have a waveform or plot that shows the battery charge profile of the BQ2002?
Something similar to Figure 7-1 or 7-2 of the BQ25172: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/bq25172.pdf …
