Part Number: BQ25798
HI Ti team
Will the BQ25798 automatically stop charging after the BQ25798 is triggered to the fast charging timer? Or the MCU that controls the BQ25798 needs to send instructions to stop charging
Part Number: BQ25798 The BQ25798 charger IC charging current is not as expected. The battery pack is 3s LiFePO4 battery pack.
I set the charge current to 2.8A and when it shows that the charge current only 1.4A but the Vbus current went up to 3A.
Is this…
Part Number: BQ25798 Hi BU Expert,
The backup mode is used to power PMID load right? But in what application scenarios will there be PMID Load? Can you give an example? Thanks.

Charlie
Hi Star,
When the battery discharges, MPPT function is disabled. However the charger's standard auto VINDPM will try to find the lowest input voltage for operation. That voltage must be higher than 3.6V for the charger to function. I expect the charger…
Part Number: BQ25798 Hi Team,
I would like to ask which of our chips integrate the PD3.0 fast charging protocol? Can you recommend me some charging chips that are suitable for two batteries and have integrated fast charging protocols?

Part Number: BQ25798 I have an application using this chip. Using the power supply set to 6V it works consistently. When I switch to a string of 6V panels, it works when the light is added quickly but not slowly. When the light is added slowly, the hiz…
Part Number: BQ25798 Background: In the following flow, the host overwrites the IINDPM register with 0xa0 (1.6A) at the timing when the power supply is switched to the VAC1 side, but the value does not switch to 1.6A after the overwrite and always becomes…
Hello Xiufa, Thanks for being patient with the delay. There's been a mix up with the system. For VAC1, the BQ25798 can support 2 inputs. Because you have a solar panel, you can connect VAC1 to VBUS. BATP is used to measure the voltage on the battery…
