Hello Garret, thanks for your answer. I came to the conclusion that I would use BQ25895 and BQ25896 chips in the charger for each of the channels. They have different addresses for the same communication bus. BQ25895 - will detect the VBUS type and the…

Hi Gerald,
We have a GUI called BQSTUDIO that can interface with the BQ25895 using the EV2400 .
For testing the BQ25895 I would suggest using the BQ25895EVM-664 . This is an evaluation board that has micro-USB inputs for adapter testing and a connection for…
Hi Garret,
sorry for the late reply. The battery is connected and Vsys is available and no load is attached. It happens either OTG is enabled or disabled. I perform the test with e real battery. This behavior can be observed on my own board but also on…
Hi David,
Detection of MAXCHARGE/HVDCP input adapters is done via the D+/D- pins on the BQ25895. I would recommend comparing your boards schematic and wiring in regards to the D+/D- pins to how they are implemented on the BQ25895EVM. The BQ25895EVM schematic…
Hi MJ,
The D+/D- lines can be shared as the charger only uses them automatically during the first 2 seconds after power up. After 2 seconds, the D+/D- pins become hi impedance. If you want a USB switch, take a look at BQ25895EVM
