    Hi Andy, HDQ comm protocol doesn't have an ACK like Smbus or I2C. That is a limitation of the protocol. pls see attached app notes to offer guidiance on using the hdq protocol. slaa196-msp430with_hdq.pdf hdqbasics.pdf thanks Onyx
