Have you tried communicating a bq25892 official EVM with BQStudio GUI using EV2300 or EV2400? The official bq25892 EVM works for sure. You may compare with your system and try to debug. Thanks!

I would recommend using a separate I2C adapter if you are wanting to script, EV2400 is mainly made for evolution using the TI GUIs.
An example would be using the Aardvark, or a lower cost solution like the USB-ISS adapter.
